Failed To Find PAN Virtual Adapter Interface
Failed to find PAN Virtual Adapter Interface
I’ve run into this error quite a bit when displacing another firewall in an environment with a Palo Alto Networks firewall as it comes from interference from another VPN client. If a client machine has another VPN client installed while trying to run the Palo Alto Networks SSL VPN, this error will appear and the only way I’ve found to resolve it is to uninstall the other VPN client. This is caused by several types of VPN clients taking posession of all interfaces on a machine when they are installed, not allowing the PAN client to access it.
Clients that I have confirmed interfere with the PAN client are SonicWALL Global VPN.
Clients that I have confirmed do not interfere with the PAN client are several versions of Juniper Network Connect and Cisco VPN.
